I only have about 8% profit so far.  How to better follow your picks?
dcrlin

To better follow the trades I suggest just stick on the "trades" thread if you having a hard time following the "The Market is open" thread. Wink

Quote
David,

I thought this portfolio is a shorter term trades than Main portfolio.  It's almost like daytrading now.  I am not new to 3SOF, but it's very hard for me to follow you  picks.  I press reload button often (almost every other minute) since this portfolio started, but I still miss you picks or the stock is too high already.

I only have about 8% profit so far.  How to better follow your picks?

Thanks for the great picks.

dcrlin

No, this Portfolio is different from the Main. The 3 Stocks on Fire Portfolio can hardly be called a portfolio, it's just 3 stocks.

I created this portfolio and new service because of the raging debate on the Premium area about the short term/long term perspective. Many complained that they couldn't spread their capital through 15 different holdings. Others complained because 30% average annual profit was not good enough for them, because they had little capital to start with.

So, I said, "I'm going to show you what I would do if I had just $15,000 to trade". And that's what I'm doing. My goal is to to show you how to turn a $15,000 trading account into a $150,000 trading account, and then you'll be able to diversify your investments and 30% average annual profit will make you very wealthy in 20 years.

But I know it is hard to mimic these trades, what you need to do is to see how I select and trade stocks so you can do it in a similar way for yourself.

Anyway, let me talk to Ramsburg for a minute about setting up e-mail alerts for this, but I warn you, it will be hard to mimic my trading, because the stocks are small and not much liquid and I need to move fast to make some meaningful profits with this small portfolio.

Will come back to this, thanks for the suggestion.

What do you think of the Doji right now for TRMM?  Dangerous to stay in or still have upside potential?

Yes, that's the best thing to do. I put the trades on the Trades thread before anywhere else.

Moreover, you need to consider the time it takes to prepare and send an e-mail to many people. When the mail gets to you, it can be late.

I think the current format is fine, and as you stated part of this is the learning experience.  I for one have had a whole new horizon expanded before me about what might be possible in trading,  this has been an incredibly interesting experience in just one week!  Smiley Cheesy Grin Shocked Evil

I doubt this can be done in code, and there would still be a delay due to normal refresh rate, but maybe the website can be made to send an audible alert whenever a post is made to the trades thread, that is the only thing I can think of that might help those having a hard time keeping up...  Anyway, for my part very happy with things how they are now, keep up the great work!

TRMM is disappointing a bit today, because it wasn't able to surpass Wednesday's  close of $3.32. There's a small short term resistance there. However there's also short term support around the $3 level.

The fundamental case tells me it should go above $6, so I'll give it some more days. Because, if after taking out some weak hands, it is able to close above $3.32, I see it jumping to $5 in a jiffy.

Yeah, stick on the "Trades" thread, that's already your email alert & your  website broker should be opened & ready to execute. Wink

In response to TRMM, The day is not over yet! I have this feeling that its going to make a late day run into the close.

Hi Toky,
Thanks for the suggestion.... I'm not quite sure yet if I can set some php code to trigger a sound alert for each new entry on the 'Trades' thread.... But probably it's doable, I will look into it during the weekend.

Now, what is already possible to do ? Users can set a notification email on the «Trades» Thread, just go there and click the 'Notify' button near the reply option, this will send an email notification each time there is a new reply (trade) on that post. I will put this inside the FAQ too Wink

regards !

CFC is another, up 10% as we speak, I hope you covered yesterday.

WFR is up just 4.5% since when it was mentioned here. But of course, sometimes a big cap can make a 50% short term move, but that's rare and hard. Much easier with small/micro cap stocks.
